Once there were two adventurous boys, who loved to play outside, but were both quite stubborn. These boys both thoroughly injoyed frolliking in the forest, and because they were neighbors, sometimes they would run into each other in the woods, just between their houses. Fortunately, while they were playing one summer, it was a literal bumping into.
One day while they were both playing by themselves, they meet on opposite sides of a creek, in between their houses, which had been discovered by both of the boys. Because they had often crossed the narrow bridge while playing, they knew it only had enough space for one of them to cross. The boys both started towards the bridge, so that the other one of them would have to wait. They both strongly felt that they should go first, and so the first boy declared that the second needed to let him go across, since he had found it first. But the second boy argued that he had found it long before the first boy. So since neither one would consent to wait, they both tried to dash to the other side. Once they ran into each other, they both fell down into the creek.
Finally, the issue was fixed. Because neither boy was fighting for his way, as before, they decided to get along. They both laughed and splashed each other in the water, which had resolved their stubborn minds, to be friends at last.
