The Truth about My Homework: By Mercy

Posted by [email protected] on March 30, 2016 at 11:10 AM

"The television can wait." My mom whispered in my ear.

"Ok I'm going." I said as I stood up. I knew I was supposed to be doing my homework, but I didn't even know how to start. "Okay what do we have here." I mumbled to myself as I sat down at the desk in my room."I think I might just do my writing first." As I did my homework I thought about what my teacher had told our class today at school.

"You know I don't want any late homework so get it done right away."

As I thought about that I felt guilty because of how much I had procrastinated. Lately I'd been telling myself that I was busy and I could get it done later, but now it was piled around me. "I really don't want my dad to know that I didn't have it done I couldn't tell him! But on the other hand I couldn't get all my homework done without help from my mom or dad."Wait!" I thought. "Mom already knows that I don't have it done, so she can help me!" As I bought my homework downstairs I thought about how I could get my dad to help me, because I knew my mom couldn't help with all my homework. "I guess I'll just have to tell him the truth about my homework."
